Monday Mailbag 5 Answered

by

Busy, busy, busy is what I have been today. Sheesh. But I don’t want to miss a Monday Mailbag.  Well, responding to it, anyway.

The question for this week’s Monday Mailbag is:

What are your weigh-in habits? How often do you weigh in? Do you use a digital scale or other? Do you take measurements when you weigh in as well? Do you keep track of your weigh-ins ways besides on your blog?

As you know, I weigh in here on the blog every Monday. Because I like starting things on Mondays and weighing in weekly, weighing in every Monday has pretty much been the natural thing to do. In the past I have forgotten to or even taken long breaks from weighing in (I sometimes get too wrapped up in the numbers), but I’m supposed to keep track of things while I’m on this diet.

I use a regular scale, but I’ve wondered about getting a digital scale. A digital scale would take some of the guessing out of weighing in, but then again, I could get too obsessed with numbers again. Plus, digital scales are pretty expensive by what I’ve been able to find.

I take measurements once a month. It’s my opinion that it’s not really worth it to take them more often.

I keep track of my weight both here and on an excel spreadsheet. The spreadsheet has other details like measurements, BMI ranges, what I’ll weigh if I lose x amount of my body weight, etc. It helps me keep on track and motivated.

Awesome job. I do love my digital scale. It was around $30 at Walmart. It’s encouraging to see those losses under a pound and helps me not gain too much before getting back on track. Keep making healthy choices!

    MargieAnne - Thank you! :)

MamaBearJune - Thank you. :) I was thinking the same thing for the positives of the digital scale. I might get one in the future, but Australia doesn’t have WalMarts so it might take a while to find a cheaper one. :)
