Monday Mailbag 41

by

I’m in need of some positive thinking and visualization exercises for the future. I want to think about my goal, ground myself a bit, and then go after it with all I have once more. I hope you’ll join me in doing so and play Monday Mailbag.

You know how it works – MM is my tribute to my love of receiving mail (or is it just my loathing of an empty mailbox?).

Every Monday I will post my question for you to answer on your blog. You then come back here and leave a link to where you’ve posted your answer so we can all get to know each other.

Easy peasy. Wanna play?

This week’s question:

I have been thinking a lot lately about my mental links to food, binging, past abuse, etc and how it is influencing my behavior today. I can’t help but think if I dig up and deal with those old memories, I will finally stop ‘holding on’ to the weight I have.

Yes, I still have my digestion system issues that I’m figuring out, but the mind is a powerful thing. If there is a scared piece of my subconscious that wants to stay fat, then I will. It’s been a long journey so far and painful at times, but I’m already seeing benefits.

I’m wondering…

Is your fitness journey a mental one as well as a physical one?

Remember to leave a link to your answer in the comments!

(If you have any question suggestions for MM, I’d be happy to hear them! I don’t promise to use all suggestions, but I do promise to read them. Thanks!)

Oh for sure! Doing the stuff that need to be done is the easy part… It’s overcoming the opposition of the mind that is the hard part. But, as with the rest of the body, it is possible to train the mind, and then the journey becomes infinitely easier!

:) I think I’m doing well on training my mind now, at least.
