Monday Mailbag 32
I’m in need of some positive thinking and visualization exercises for the future. I want to think about my goal, ground myself a bit, and then go after it with all I have once more. I hope you’ll join me in doing so and play Monday Mailbag.
You know how it works – MM is my tribute to my love of receiving mail (or is it just my loathing of an empty mailbox?).
Every Monday I will post my question for you to answer on your blog. You then come back here and leave a link to where you’ve posted your answer so we can all get to know each other.
Easy peasy. Wanna play?
This week’s question:
Now that I’m feeling a little closer to human this week, I have been thinking more about how I’m going to address my emotional weight issues. Do I write in a journal about it? Do I take the plunge and start seeing a therapist? Or do I take a relaxed approach and deal with the issues as they come up?
I’m wondering…
What do you do to take care of your emotional self?
Remember to leave a link to your answer in the comments!
(If you have any question suggestions for MM, I’d be happy to hear them! I don’t promise to use all suggestions, but I do promise to read them. Thanks!)

I haven’t had to deal so much with the emotional issues surrounding weight loss. I tend to overeat because food tastes so darn good.
But whenever I would catch myself focusing on ‘what ifs’ or ‘if only’s or anything else that might derail me, I would put up mental blinders and redirect my thoughts to the tasks at hand: eat healthy and exercise regularly. I figured anything peripheral would either go away or could be dealt with later. It worked for me, but it might not work of everyone.

Haha! Amen sister. I know what you mean about food just being darn good. You sound like a very mentally strong woman.
