iSerenity
Stress is bad for anyone, but it is especially bad for dieters. Stress is even more bad for people who are trying to get fit who are comfort food addicts.
Like me.
Stress can make you think obsessively about an ample piece (aka one fourth or one half) of that double whipped bakery fresh French style cheesecake with graham cracker crust and graham cracker crumbs on top. Who cares if the amount of calories in that ample slice make up your calories for the better part of a week? You’re stressed and need some comfort!
I’ve known for a long time now that I’m a comfort eater. Stress? Cinnamon roll. Work stress? Too much sushi. Emotional stress? Chocolate. And the list goes on.
Since trying to get fit – and especially since being placed on the restricted diet – I have had to find other (aka ‘normal’) ways of dealing with my stress and trying to prevent stress.
A friend of mine recently talked about a new favourite site of hers – iSerenity. We’re actually fairly new friends, so I decided to check it out to see what kind of things she likes.
I am so, so glad I did.
iSerenity might not be a lot for the eyes, but it’s definitely worth it to stop by and snoop around a bit. Completely free and for your pleasure, the site offers a number (currently 31) different ‘environments’ for you to enjoy and help you relax.
Now, I’ve had sound machines and all those funny contraptions you can get for relaxation background noise, and this site has the staples: ocean, waterfalls, rain, thunderstorms, yada yada. What I love about this site is that they have even more.
From the sounds of a busy restaurant to pure white noise, they have some excellent environments you don’t often come across.
So if you’re like me and need all the help you can get to relax (and even if you don’t!) check out iSerenity.
