Exercise Machines

by

I know I’ve been talking about how ‘it’s my last week at the gym’ for over a month and I haven’t actually stopped going there yet. Well, first it was because I needed to go through my contract or face a fine. Then it was the fact (that I didn’t know) that they needed 30 days warning if you were deciding to end your membership. So that combination of thing had me going there throughout this month.

I did give my final notice at the beginning of this month, though, so I’ll be well and truly off the membership. No, really!

And my credit card will thank me for it, that’s for sure.

But now I’m to the point where I need to buy some sort of exercise machine for home. I like walks fine enough, but I need something in the flat. I work from home, so having something right here that I can take regular exercise breaks on will work great.

I have my heart set on an elliptical because that was the gym machine that never failed to completely kick my arse whenever I got on it.

But I’m wondering what kind of machines (if any) that everyone else is using. Do you like it? Hate it? Wish you’d bought something else? Got it from someone else so you might as well use it?

I think I can afford a decent elliptical after a few months of saving (hopefully less than that because I don’t want to be away from machinery that long…

So what, if anything, do you use as your getting fit machine? Do you wish you could have something else or do you love what you have?

I have an elliptical which I really like, although I don’t hardly ever use it. No good reason, just laziness. I also use my Wii Fit and I have an exercise ball and light hand weights.

Do you like the Wii Fit? That’s something I’ve wanted to look into.
